Al terminar el curso sobre Google Books y los cambios en las industrias editoriales en CAICYT nos tomamos varios minutos con los presentes para intercambiar ideas y jugar un poco a hacer prospectiva. Una de las ideas fuerte estuvo dada por la importancia que los nuevos soportes iban a tener en la expansión de las obras literarias en formato digital dentro de las instituciones educativas. Justamente, hoy leo que en Seton Hill University se van a entregar iPad a todos los estudiantes en 2010. Ésta es, a su vez, una de las principales “ventajas tecnológicas” con las que se presenta esta Universidad:
“Seton Hill University will give a new Apple iPad to every full-time student in fall 2010. March 30, 2010 – The iPad initiative kicks off the University’s Griffin Technology Advantage Program. This new program provides students with the best in technology and collaborative learning tools, ensuring that Seton Hill students will be uniquely suited to whatever careers they choose – even those that have not yet been created”.
